Whether you’re seeking adrenaline or serenity, our diverse range of activities offers something for everyone. Explore hiking trails from easy walks to challenging treks, kayak across tranquil lakes or majestic fjords, and bike along scenic routes or steep mountain paths. 

Are you very fit or more relaxed? We can provide you with the exact level of activities that suits you.

Dive, snorkel, or freedive with expert guides, or try hunting and fishing in the wild beauty of Western Norway. In winter, enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, or husky sledding. Meet alpacas, llamas, or deer, and even walk with animals through scenic landscapes. No matter your pace or preference, we tailor each experience to suit your interests and abilities.

Hikes, walks and pilgrimage

It’s all up to you. Hikes will be made with different levels from light to very hard. Walks is more relaxing and you can be accompanied by local historians that will tell you about the history of the places where you walk.

Kayaking

Is a stunning experience on the King of fjords, Sognefjorden. Kayaking on beautiful lakes is also an option.

Depending on your skills we suggest where to go kayaking. If you need a course in kayaking, we can provide that as well.

Biking

Biking can be performed with e-bikes or mountain bikes, you can ride a flat romantic route along the fjord or you can do downhill biking down steep mountain sides. Or if you are into a challenge we can recommend one of the annual competitions with long distance tours over several mountains on paved roads.

Freediving, diving or snorkeling

We are ready to give you a wonderful experience on the coast of Norway or in the Sognefjord. Skilled guides will follow you on your tour.

We have a lot of opportunities for hunting big fish on the coast, or you can dive for scallops, crabs,mussels and clam shells.

Hunting and fishing

Experience the thrill of hunting and fishing in Western Norway. Start with deer hunting on the coast, then move inland to Sognefjorden for grouse or mountain deer. Continue over Sognefjellet to Jotunheimen for elk and reindeer. For anglers, we offer salmon and sea trout fishing in the famous Laerdalselva or other top salmon rivers.

Winter activities

Enjoy a variety of winter activities for all skill levels. Go cross-country skiing, join a mountain-top tour with a guide, or hit the slopes with downhill or slalom skiing. Try snowshoe hikes or a unique dog sledding ride with huskies. Combine your adventure with a relaxing spa visit at Lustrabadet and a gourmet meal at a local restaurant for the perfect winter getaway.

Animal walks and tours

Get up close to animals like deer, llamas, and alpacas, and learn about their lives and habitats. Join an alpaca walk and enjoy a peaceful stroll with these gentle creatures. In summer, you can also ride with huskies in trolley-wagons to remote areas—a great way to connect with nature, even if hiking isn’t an option.

Discover the region by foot – guided walks through history and culture

A great way to discover an area is to set out on foot and gain a sense of the place’s atmosphere and history. There are a number of guided tours you can be a part of. Many of these are heritage-walks while others showcase culture and art in ways that equally tells wonderful stories giving an insight into our community

Walk through history – Guided hikes on ancient trails

Explore Western Norway’s rich past on foot as you follow trails once used by Vikings, kings, and pilgrims. Walk in the footsteps of King Sverre and Saint Olav, and hear stories of rebellion and local heritage. Discover charming villages, learn how people live today, and experience ancient pilgrimage routes with full support including guides, accommodation, and luggage transport. Hike the scenic King’s Road over Filefjell, or enjoy walks tailored to your pace with stunning views. Don’t miss the waterfall walk, ending with Vettisfossen — Northern Europe’s highest unregulated waterfall. A perfect blend of nature and history.

Trails from Medieval times

This is a perfect opportunity to walk on trails that vikings, King Sverre and King Olav the holy and his men has traveled. Hear the history told during the walk about villagers who stood up against the king due to high taxes and built defenses along these trails. We will tell you how and where.

Small village / hamlet walks

If this is your preferred choice, you will get first hand knowledge about our small communities, there are a lot of history to tell and you also get a glimpse on how we live today.

Pilgrimage trails

We walk ancient pilgrimage trails in the footsteps of our forefathers who did these walks as a tribute to the gods. It is possible to walk parts of the trails or full hike trails. These tours is performed with skilled guides that tells you the stories about the pilgrims. We arrange luggage transport, overnight accommodations and meals during the walks when necessary.

Kings road on Filefjell mountain

Kongevegen over Filefjell offers some of Norway’s most beautiful hikes. Once the main route between east and west, local farmers were ordered by the king to maintain the road for mail and officials. The full route is 110 km, but we walk the most scenic and historic parts — with stories that bring this ancient road to life.

Scenic walks

Wherever you turn you will find beautiful views here, but some of the views are most spectacular. There is a lot of opportunities to do scenic walks in Western Norway, it only depends on how long you prefer the walk to be. We will recommend what is best, after your preferences and ability.

Waterfall walk

We have a lot of waterfalls, and there is an opportunity to have a walk where you can see 4 waterfalls at the same trip. You will have the spectacular Vettisfossen waterfall as the Grand Finale. Vettisfossen waterfall has a free fall of 275 meters, this makes it Norway’s and Northern Europe’s highest non-regulated waterfall. This tour are very spectacular, and not too difficult. We also have the opportunity to have packhorses carrying your backpacks.
